Abstract
This standard establishes requirements for efficient and transparent qualification of instrumentation and control (I&C) platforms for use in nuclear applications important to safety. The requirements concern qualification of I&C platforms outside the framework of a specific plant design and the use of qualified I&C platforms in I&C systems important to safety. The application-specific qualification of the I&C system is not in the scope of this standard.
