Abstract

This standard is used in underwater acoustics for one-, two- and three-dimensional sound wave vector receivers in the frequency range 5 Hz to 10 kHz. Vector receivers, which measure either the sound particle movement or the sound pressure gradient, are tanken into account. They measure the movement of sound particles (speed, acceleration or displacement) or the sound pressure gradients, which have strong directional information in their operating frequency range.
