Abstract

This draft deals with the safety of electric appliances for the care of skin or hair of persons or animals and intended for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. Some requirements were only applicable for hair dryers. These requiremnts are now extended to all appliances mentioned in the scope. Hair straighterners are now integrated in the examples of appliances of this standard. The tests in clause 21 "mechanical strength" and 22 "construction" were updated.
