Publications Projects

To develop, maintain and promote standards covering measurement techniques and methods used for the monitoring of inadvertent movement and illicit trafficking of nuclear and radioactive material. Standards aim to specify the selection, tests, training, performance requirements, and cyber assurance to ensure that monitoring systems are fit for purpose. Standards also aim to promote the safety of personnel involved as well as the general public, optimize operation of equipment, improve communications, and standardize activities used to detect and respond to illicit trafficking and inadvertent movement of radioactive material.
