The scope of responsible committee covers the following areas:

• The testing of products and their effectiveness on bactericides, mycobactericides, sporicides, fungicides and/or virucides with respect to various usages, e.g. disinfection of hands, instruments, surfaces and laundry; basic testing of products and their effectiveness in the field of human medicine, livestock, food, industry, household and public institutions;
• Storage of test organisms that are used for testing;
• Continuous updates of a guidance document describing the usage of European standards in the field of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics.
