DIN at the 2016 Hanover Fair

Standards for tomorrow's world

Everyone’s talking about Industry 4.0. - We’re setting the standards.

At this year's Hanover Fair DIN will present several informative exhibits on current trends such as the smart city, electromobility, logistics - and especially Industry 4.0. The Fair takes place from 25 to 29 April 2016. Visit DIN in Hall 2, Stand C 51.

A special feature will be the presentation of "SpraySpy", an instrument for measuring the quality of technical sprays in real time developed by the new company AOM-Systems. The special test method used with SpraySpy is described in DIN SPEC 91325. Another exhibition highlight at DIN's stand will be the multifunctional street light "sm!ght" which is currently being standardized. This versatile street lamp not only provides lighting but also serves as a charger for electric vehicles, provides WiFi networks, can be used for emergency calls, and even gives information on the weather. In the logistics field the new "Package Butler" represents a new way to send packages, especially useful for online shopping.

As in the past, DIN's publishing house DIN Media and subsidiary DIN Solutions will also be present at the stand.

On Tuesday, 26 April 2016, various experts will present their current standards projects during the "tech transfer" forum starting at 15:00 in Hall 2. The legal advantages of DIN Specifications for start-up companies will also be discussed. The forum will conclude with presentations of the work of DIN Innovation Prize winners.

To round off the day DIN will host a get-together at its stand starting from 18:00.

If you would like to arrange a special meeting at the DIN stand, please send your request to presse@din.de.
